Getting in
Orlando International Airport: For Downtown on a budget, take Lynx route 111 from the A-side ground-transport area: roughly 45–60 minutes and $2, with transfers included within 90 minutes. For Disney, Universal, International Drive or most hotels, use a prebooked hotel shuttle if it is genuinely included, otherwise rideshare or a rental car; the airport has on-site rentals and it is the sensible choice for a multi-resort or day-trip itinerary. Expect road time to vary sharply with I-4 traffic—roughly 20–30 minutes to Downtown and 25–45 minutes to the resort districts. There is no useful rail link from the airport to Downtown; Brightline’s Orlando terminal is at MCO and is for intercity trips south, not local airport transfer.
Orlando-Sanford International Airport: Treat Sanford as a low-fare airport, not a convenient Orlando airport: it is about 28 miles northeast of Orlando and poorly suited to spontaneous public-transit transfer. Rent a car if you are staying in the resort belt or taking day trips; otherwise arrange the airport shuttle offered for your flight/hotel or take a rideshare/taxi, usually about 45–60 minutes to the tourist areas before traffic. Do not book SFB assuming it is interchangeable with MCO.
Orlando Amtrak station: The Amtrak station is north of the walkable Downtown core, not at the airport or parks. Take a rideshare/taxi for the short trip to Downtown—about 10 minutes and roughly $10–20 before surge—or to your hotel; it is a more practical arrival than trying to thread luggage through infrequent local buses.
Brightline Orlando station at Orlando International Airport: Brightline is useful if arriving from South Florida, but its Orlando terminus is at MCO, southeast of Downtown. From the station, use the same airport rideshare, hotel-shuttle, rental-car or Lynx options; do not expect a rail connection onward to Disney, Universal or Downtown.
