Rock Sound International Airport: The sensible gateway for Tarpum Bay. There is no useful scheduled public transport: reserve a rental car at the airport and drive north on Queen’s Highway, roughly 25–35 minutes. Expect roughly US$75–120+ per day for a basic rental before insurance, taxes and fuel; arrange a taxi in advance if you will not drive, rather than expecting one to be waiting.
Governor’s Harbour Airport: Use this only when its flight schedule or fares beat Rock Sound. Pick up a rental car and allow about 45–60 minutes south to Tarpum Bay on Queen’s Highway. Pre-booked taxis are possible but become expensive on this distance; a rental is the actually practical choice for a stay here.
North Eleuthera Airport: Useful for connections via Nassau and for Harbour Island, but a poor Tarpum Bay gateway. Rent a car and allow about 1½–2 hours south; the route is scenic but this is an all-island drive, not an airport transfer. Do not rely on the headline cheap transfer prices in booking aggregators—shared, scheduled airport transport is not a dependable local system.
